I personally know the donor family. All this was hard for family and friends. My mom was pregnant at the same time as the Kris ( donor mother). It was hard for my mom cause she was so sad,scared and in pain for them. Cause you can’t ever know what it feels like to lose a child unless it happens to you. I m so proud of everything the Kris and her family did to help theses family’s with little Trevor organs. Cause idk what I would do if this ever happened to me. And i am so glad to see that you guys keep in touch its like she can she Trevor grow through sweet Hannah. God has special plans for each of your families. And i am so glad and blessed to know Kris and there family.

Hi Catherine. I just wanted you to know that when I read your story, I wept — I’m not talking a little tears here and there — I truly wept. Dragonslayer (a.k.a. husband) is used to me sobbing during my reads of truly touching books, certain movies, and even posts like this one, but he wasn’t prepared for his own reaction.

He, too, had trouble getting through the entire post. We’re both VERY involved parents of seven (7) and the thought of going through something as trying as what you’ve been through just put us in a different place than we’ve ever been before. Thank you for reminding us about the importance of organ donation and the amazing things it can do.
